The churches of South Snohomish County began the Concern For Neighbors Food Bank in 1971. Started in the basement of the home adjacent to the current location where five volunteers served 18 clients.

Today we have our own warehouse, two trucks, and two shipping containers for storage and approximately 60 volunteers. We are a member of the Snohomish County Food Bank Coalition that consists of 20 local food banks that pool their food purchasing dollars to help those in need.

We also provide government commodities each month from TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program).

The Concern for Neighbors Food bank is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides food to low income families and individual adults. The Food Bank currently serves an average of over 200 households per week. The Concern for Neighbors Food Bank has NO paid staff and we are all volunteers.

Along with providing for the hungry we are sometimes able to provide volunteer work for students or court ordered community service. Contact the food bank to make arrangements for volunteer work.

Our food supplies come from Northwest Harvest, Volunteers of America who purchase food for the Snohomish County Food Coalition, Food Lifeline, local grocery store donations, Christmas lightings in local neighborhoods, scouts, schools, the community and company food drives, and from private individual donations. We use the generous cash donations to purchase additional food and dairy products. Thank you for helping our community fight hunger.

Thank You to Our Friends at Volunteers of America
